Acquisition of know-how or on-stream plants
PDIDC will study the project in depth and will check if it can meet company’s goals, then the projects will be evaluated by agreed upon experts. The material and intellectual rights of the owner will be transferred officially to this company according to a contract or the company will have a share equal to the brought cash. Definite ownership of know-how or plant by the seller will be reached by this company, and proof document should be provided by seller.
After signing the contract all the rights, responsibilities and advantages will be transferred to this company and the company will utilities it in any way that meets it’s goals best. It’s obvious that all the intellectual rights are also included.
After the contract the seller can not transfer the know-how to a third party. Duration of this limitation will be made clear in the contract.

Participation in expansion plan of an existing plant
PDIDC is ready to participate in expansion plans of on-stream plants that utilize local or renown foreign know- how.
Definite ownership of know-how and plant will be reached by this company, and proof documents should be provided by seller.
PDIDC will study the plan and will check if it meets company’s goals. The PDIDC share in expansion plan will not be less that %23.7 and will be made clear in a contract.
• The applicant guarantees not to transfer his share before the expansion plan goes on-stream.
• Participating in ongoing projects, new plants and completing unfinished projects are also included in this plan , if they can fulfill company’s goals.

Acquisition of know-how to produce a certain product
PDIDC has the mission to support implementation of local know-how at intermediate and downstream level.
Owners of local know-how in the field of petrochemical downstream can sell their know-how to the company or have financial support of the company to implement their know-how to the production stage.
• Definite ownership of applicant over know-how will be reached by the company and the applicant should provide proof documents.
• Suitability of know-how to produce a certain products will be evaluated by the company, and its value for transfer or as an asset will be determined.
• The know-how should have been tested and proved at pilot scale.
• If the know-how is not tested at pilot-scale, the company is only ready to invest in a pilot plant.
• In case of acquisition, all intellectual and exploitation rights of owner is transferred to PDIDC according to a contract.
• In case of partnership the intellectual rights will be transferred to PDIDC, but the exploitation right will be transferred to a new company shared by applicant and PDIDC according to a contract.
• The new company will be established and managed according to national business code and PDIDC requirements.
• PDIDC and applicant will guarantee not to transfer their share of the new company to a third party before implementation of the project.
• PDIDC wishes to up grade the know-how and use it in new plants, the applicant’s advice is welcome to implement this goal.

Supporting developers of local know-how
PDIDC has the mission to support local researchers and industries to invest in developing know-how in the field of petrochemical downstream products .
• The proposed know – how should be suitable for the production of a certain product
• Innovation, originality, ease of implementation, hardware support by local companies, flexibility and ease of modification and upgrade are major considerations to be met.
• The seller guarantees upgrading from pilot to production scale. Warranties should be set.
• The seller guaranties performance of pilot and production scale plant according to a contract.
• Any know-how developed through reverse engineering is also accepted in special conditions.
• PDIDC has all the rights to exploit the know-how in any plan.
• The support and investment scheme is according to company’s policies
